Start of a self-publishing journey and first draft nearly complete.

I signed a contract with a company called Writing Publishers to edit, format, and publish A Girl and Her Four Families. I am getting closer to completing the first draft and I liked the phone calls, messages, and e-mails I received from Johnathan Parker. They offered a great and affordable price for the global package. Phillip and got into an argument about it though on Friday but we resolved it. Sometimes I wish he would show more faith in my judgements and research. But after he looked them up, saw a good review, he agreed to send them the down payment. Maybe it was because I asked him about this when he was tired that he misheard me on the cost of the down payment. At any rate, the money has been sent, the contract has been signed and e-mailed, and I’m waiting for the signed contract from Johnathan to be returned to me.

In the meantime, I am writing more. I work on my Cleveland State homework, and write more in the memoir. I recently wrote all the heartbreaking stuff for the ending, and will fill in with the happier things like Jon’s wedding and starting back to school. I hope my story can be a lifeboat for an adoptee who needs it after it is published.
