First Meeting with my youngest brother and first excerpt I’m sharing in a blog post.

Spread the love

Since Word Press came with a built in blog, and I do love blogging. I decided I would use this. The first thing I want to share is an except from my first meeting with Jason, my youngest brother. Keep in mind this is only my first draft, and I’ll probably change it in other drafts, but keep all the emotional content because that is the most important part of any great reunion story.

When we finally got to the big island of Key West, it was easy to find Jason and Chad’s Apartment. We had to go there first to get the SUV that they were loaning to us and Jason had said he would have a taco bar ready for us. We pulled into the parking lot for their apartment complex, Mariner’s Cove around 4 p.m. and I recognized Jason right away. He was in the courtyard with two of their dogs, Loki and Comet. Loki is a big fuzzy tan and white dog and Loki’s brother Comet is smaller. Jason looked exactly like he did in the photos I had seen of him. Dark hair, dark eyes, medium build, taller than me, but not as tall as Phillip. He flashed a huge smile as he walked over to us. He had been so warm and kind in the eight months since we had found each other, so the first thing I did was wrapped my arms around him and gave him a huge hug. His big brown eyes got teary eyed. So, did mine. It was a storybook, emotional, first meeting and the rest of the vacation would be just as wonderful.

Happy first meeting for me and my youngest brother.
